Block Palette

Blueprint editor guide

Convert an image into a plan you can actually build

The editor maps image colors to a curated Minecraft block palette, then turns the result into a grid, material count, shopping list, and layer-by-layer construction view. The useful result is not just a preview: it is a concrete plan for gathering blocks, checking scale, and placing each row in game.

Prepare the image

Crop around the subject, remove distracting backgrounds when needed, and start with a clear silhouette.

Choose a build width

Begin with the smallest width that preserves the important shapes. Larger grids require more blocks and longer build time.

Control the palette

Use survival-friendly filters, block categories, map-art mode, and dithering only when they serve the intended build.

Verify the plan

Check the preview, material totals, and layer guide before exporting or gathering resources in Minecraft.

When the first conversion looks noisy

Reduce source-image detail, use a smaller palette, or disable dithering before increasing the grid size. A cleaner block pattern is usually easier to read and much easier to build than a larger pattern full of single-block color changes.

What each export is for

Use PNG for a visual reference, the shopping list for resource gathering, the mobile viewer while building away from your desktop, and NBT or Java commands only when your Minecraft edition and permissions support them.

Images stay in the browser workflow

Image decoding, palette matching, background cutout, and blueprint generation run locally in the browser. The editor does not need to upload the source image to a project account or cloud gallery.
