Height follows the image. Plans over 256 blocks high need a smaller width or a crop before upload. Materials come from the supported 70-block set.

Block preview

Upload an image and generate a native block plan. An optional example loads here.

Images stay in your browser. The preview is a block plan, not an in-game screenshot.

Your image, displayed plan and settings continue in this tab.

Load your .litematic in Litematica

  1. 1

    Download the file

Generate the plan, check the dimensions and materials, then choose Download .litematic. Other formats remain available in the export selector.

  2. 2

Add it to your schematics folder

Copy the file to the schematics folder inside the Minecraft instance you actually play. Mod-launcher profiles can have their own game folders.

  3. 3

    Load and create a placement

In Litematica, open Load Schematics, select your file and create a placement. Review its position, orientation and air settings before building.

Litematica loading documentationInstall a Litematica build and its dependencies for your Java game version separately. The website does not install mods or place blocks in your world.

Know what your file contains

  • Native .litematic
  • Java 1.21.11 blocks
  • One flat block plane
  • Air cells preserved

This image-to-Litematica converter makes one block-thick artwork. Wall placement stands it upright; Floor lays the same plan horizontally. Width is measured in blocks and height follows your image. It does not reconstruct a 3D model or produce map.dat files and map-color stair steps. For map-item artwork, read the map art guide.

Files use the site's current Java block set. Match the blocks and file data to your game/mod version; check the loaded placement before building. The preview shows the generated plan, not a tested in-game build.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a native .litematic file?
Yes. This downloads a native .litematic file for the Litematica workflow. Java structure .nbt is a different format; renaming a file does not convert it.
Does this make map-item art or a 3D model?
The converter creates a single flat block plane. Floor placement changes its orientation; it does not generate map.dat, map-color stair steps or a reconstructed 3D model.
How are transparent PNG pixels handled?
Pixels with alpha below 96 out of 255 become air. Air cells remain in the .litematic file and are excluded from material totals. Check placement settings before using the file over existing blocks.
Can I use this file on Bedrock?
Native .litematic output is for a Java Litematica workflow, not a Bedrock .mcstructure file. See Bedrock building options.
